Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Collaborate with hardware teams to develop error-corrected qubit systems and quantum processors
- Lead experimental validation of quantum supremacy protocols using superconducting and photonic platforms
- Author peer-reviewed publications and patents in quantum information science
- Mentor junior researchers and cross-functional engineering teams
- Secure federal and private research funding through compelling grant proposals
- Develop quantum-safe encryption standards for next-gen cybersecurity frameworks
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years industry experience
- Proven expertise in quantum algorithm development (Shor's, Grover's, VQE)
- Proficiency with quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq) and simulation frameworks
- Publication record in Nature/Science or equivalent high-impact journals
- Experience with cryogenic quantum hardware and control systems
