Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for real-world optimization problems
- Conduct experiments on superconducting qubit platforms at cryogenic temperatures
- Develop novel quantum error correction codes to extend qubit coherence
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists, engineers, and software developers
- Secure $2M+ in DARPA/NIST grant funding for quantum initiatives
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Advise Fortune 500 clients on quantum integration strategies
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Published research in quantum error correction or fault-tolerant systems
- Deep understanding of quantum mechanics at graduate level
- Experience with cryogenic quantum hardware systems
- Track record of securing research grants or patents
- Strong background in linear algebra and computational complexity theory
