Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Lead experimental validation of quantum error correction protocols on multi-qubit systems
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical frameworks for industrial-scale problems
- Author peer-reviewed publications and contribute to open-source quantum SDKs
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum processor architectures
- Mentor junior researchers and lead quantum computing workshops
- Secure external funding through NSF and DARPA grants
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field with quantum focus
- 3+ years experience with quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Published research in quantum error correction or fault tolerance
- Expertise in quantum circuit optimization and noise mitigation
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum information theory
- Proficiency in Python and high-performance computing frameworks
- Experience with cloud quantum platforms (IBM Quantum, Amazon Braket)
- Track record of securing competitive research funding
