Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for real-world applications
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists, engineers, and computer scientists
- Publish peer-reviewed research in top-tier journals and conferences
- Develop error correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Collaborate with government agencies on quantum security standards
- Mentor graduate students and junior researchers
- Secure $2M+ in annual research grants and partnerships
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Published research in Nature, Science, or IEEE Transactions
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or similar quantum programming frameworks
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and decoherence
- Experience securing federal research grants (NSF/DOE)
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum information theory
