Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for practical commercial applications
- Lead experimental validation of quantum hardware prototypes at 500+ qubit scale
- Develop error-correction frameworks for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals and industry whitepapers
- Collaborate with AI/ML teams to hybridize quantum-classical computing workflows
- Secure $5M+ in research grants from NSF and DARPA initiatives
- Mentor postdoctoral researchers and PhD candidates in quantum physics
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years industry experience
- Published research in quantum error correction or topological qubits
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Demonstrated expertise in cryogenic quantum system design
- Experience securing federal research grants or corporate R&D funding
- Strong background in machine learning and high-performance computing
- Patent portfolio in quantum technologies preferred
