Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Lead experimental validation of quantum hardware prototypes in cryogenic environments
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop quantum-classical hybrid computing frameworks
- Publish breakthrough research in peer-reviewed journals and present at international conferences
- Secure and manage $5M+ in federal and private quantum research funding
- Mentor junior researchers and drive quantum education initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years industry experience
- Proven expertise in quantum algorithm design (Shor's, Grover's, VQE implementations)
- Hands-on experience with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Strong background in superconducting qubit systems or photonic quantum processors
- Track record of publishing in Nature/Science or equivalent high-impact journals
- Demonstrated ability to secure government research grants (DARPA, NSF, DOE)
- Expertise in error correction codes and fault-tolerant quantum architectures
