Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for error correction and optimization
- Lead experimental quantum computing projects using superconducting qubit platforms
- Collaborate with hardware teams to enhance qubit coherence times and gate fidelities
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical frameworks for real-world industrial applications
- Publish findings in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, etc.) and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Secure $2M+ in research grants from NSF and DARPA
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information theory
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (postdoc preferred)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit)
- Published research in quantum error correction or fault-tolerant computing
- Proficiency in cryogenic quantum systems and microwave control engineering
- Expertise in tensor network simulations for quantum many-body systems
- Strong track record of securing federal research grants
- Experience mentoring quantum research teams
- Clearance for DoD quantum computing projects (or ability to obtain)
