Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Lead cutting-edge research in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant quantum computing
- Collaborate with hardware teams to integrate quantum solutions with classical computing systems
- Publish high-impact research in peer-reviewed journals and present at international conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and foster a culture of scientific excellence
- Develop patentable quantum computing methodologies and intellectual property
- Secure and manage research grants from government and private funding sources
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent research experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#) and simulation frameworks
- Deep understanding of quantum mechanics principles and quantum information theory
- Publication record in top-tier quantum computing journals/conferences
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM Q, Rigetti, D-Wave)
- Strong analytical skills with ability to solve complex abstract problems
