Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for complex problem-solving in cryptography, AI, and molecular modeling
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists and software engineers in prototyping quantum systems
- Develop error-correction frameworks to advance qubit stability beyond current industry standards
- Publish findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at global tech summits
- Drive commercial applications of quantum computing in partnership with Fortune 500 clients
- Mentor junior researchers and establish new research methodologies for 2026-era quantum challenges
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years of research experience
- Proven expertise in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Publication record in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, or IEEE) on quantum computing
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Experience with cryogenic quantum systems and superconducting qubit manipulation
- Strong background in machine learning and classical-quantum hybrid algorithms
- Ability to secure $5M+ in research grants from DARPA, NSF, or private foundations
