Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for practical applications in logistics optimization and drug discovery
- Develop error-correction protocols to achieve fault-tolerant quantum computing by 2026
- Lead experimental research on superconducting qubits and photonic quantum processors
- Publish findings in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, Quantum) and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Collaborate with machine learning teams to hybridize quantum-classical computing frameworks
- Secure $1M+ in government grants and industry partnerships for quantum research initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years industry experience
- Published research in quantum error correction or topological quantum computing
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#) and simulation frameworks
- Experience operating dilution refrigerators and quantum measurement equipment
- Deep understanding of quantum decoherence mechanisms and mitigation strategies
- Track record of securing quantum computing research grants or patents
- Expertise in at least one classical HPC framework (Hadoop, Spark) for hybrid computing
