Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Lead experimental validation of quantum supremacy protocols on 100+ qubit systems
- Develop error correction frameworks for fault-tolerant quantum computing architectures
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum processors for 2026-scale workloads
- Publish breakthrough research in Nature/Science journals and secure DARPA grants
- Mentor PhD researchers in quantum information theory and computational complexity
- Contribute to ethical frameworks for quantum-secure cryptographic systems
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years research experience
- Published work in top-tier quantum computing conferences (QIP, QCE)
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq) and high-performance simulation
- Demonstrated expertise in quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Strong background in quantum information theory and computational complexity
- Experience securing government grants (DARPA, NSF) or corporate R&D funding
- Track record of cross-disciplinary collaboration with material scientists and engineers
