Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization problems
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Lead experimental validation of quantum hardware prototypes
- Collaborate with hardware teams on qubit architecture improvements
- Publish research in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Secure federal and private quantum research grants
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum information theory
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or Quantum Information Science
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Proficiency with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Publication record in quantum computing or condensed matter physics
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Strong background in linear algebra and complex analysis
- Experience with cryogenic quantum systems preferred
