Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for practical industry applications
- Lead experimental validation of quantum supremacy claims using 50+ qubit systems
- Develop error-correction frameworks for fault-tolerant quantum computation
- Partner with hardware teams to optimize quantum gate architectures
- Publish breakthrough research in Nature/Science journals
- Secure $2M+ in NSF/DoE quantum computing grants
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information theory
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq)
- Published work in quantum algorithm design or quantum error correction
- Expertise in complex mathematical optimization techniques
- Proficiency with high-performance computing environments (HPC, cloud)
