Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop error mitigation techniques to advance quantum coherence beyond 1000-qubit thresholds
- Lead cross-functional teams in translating quantum proofs into scalable industrial applications
- Author peer-reviewed publications for Nature/Science journals on quantum computational advances
- Secure $5M+ in government/industry grants for quantum research initiatives
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science through our 2026 Fellowship Program
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Theoretical Physics, or Computational Mathematics
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing journals (minimum 3 papers)
- Proficiency with Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum programming frameworks
- Demonstrated experience with quantum hardware (IBM, Rigetti, or IonQ)
- Expertise in quantum error correction codes and fault-tolerant architectures
- Track record of securing federal research grants (NSF/DOE preferred)
- Strong background in topological quantum computing or quantum machine learning
