Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for error correction and qubit stability
- Lead cross-functional experiments with superconducting and photonic quantum processors
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical frameworks for real-world industrial applications
- Collaborate with government agencies on post-quantum cryptographic standards
- Publish peer-reviewed research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Mentor junior researchers and secure federal research grants
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent industry experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Published research in quantum error correction or fault-tolerant architectures
- Proficiency in high-performance computing environments (HPC, GPU clusters)
- Deep understanding of quantum information theory and topological qubit systems
- Strong track record of securing NSF or DoD research funding
- Experience with cryogenic quantum hardware integration
