Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum error correction systems for multi-qubit processors
- Develop cryogenic control systems for quantum annealing and gate-based architectures
- Architect hybrid quantum-classical computing workflows for enterprise clients
- Lead quantum network security protocols for distributed quantum computing
- Optimize quantum compiler software for hardware-specific instruction sets
- Conduct thermal and electromagnetic shielding for quantum coherence
- Document quantum system performance metrics and failure analysis
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science (MS with 5+ years experience considered)
- Expertise in quantum error correction codes (surface, color, LDPC codes)
- Proficiency in cryogenic engineering and dilution refrigerator systems
- Strong background in quantum circuit optimization and compilation
- Experience with quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Knowledge of quantum key distribution protocols (BB84, E91)
- Familiarity with superconducting qubit fabrication processes
- Published research in quantum computing or related field preferred
