Join Nexus Innovations as a Quantum UX Researcher to pioneer human-centered design for 2026 and beyond. We're seeking a visionary to decode emerging tech paradigms and shape intuitive experiences for tomorrow's digital frontier. This role blends neuroscience, AI ethics, and speculative design to create interfaces that anticipate human needs before they arise. You'll lead cross-disciplinary teams in developing breakthrough products at the intersection of quantum computing, biometric interfaces, and metaverse ecosystems.
Our Austin hub offers unparalleled resources including a quantum computing lab, neural interface testing facilities, and an immersive prototyping studio. This position reports directly to our Chief Futurist and includes equity in our moonshot projects.
Responsibilities
- Design and conduct neuro-UX studies using fNIRS and EEG technologies for next-gen interfaces
- Develop predictive user behavior models using quantum computing algorithms
- Lead speculative design workshops to prototype 2026+ digital experiences
- Create ethical frameworks for AI-human symbiosis in emerging tech ecosystems
- Collaborate with neuroscientists to develop brain-compatibility standards
- Document quantum UX principles in our living methodology repository
Qualifications
- PhD in Cognitive Science, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field
- 5+ years experience with emerging tech UX research (AR/VR, quantum interfaces)
- Proficiency in quantum computing programming (Qiskit, Cirq) and neural data analysis
- Published work on human-machine symbiosis or speculative design
- Experience leading cross-disciplinary teams in futuristic product development
- Certification in neuro-UX methodologies and quantum ethics
