Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive AI ethics frameworks for autonomous systems and generative AI models
- Partner with engineering teams to embed ethical guardrails in product development lifecycles
- Lead stakeholder consultations across government, academia, and industry to shape AI policy
- Conduct risk assessments for novel AI applications using quantitative and qualitative methodologies
- Create transparency protocols for AI decision-making processes and bias mitigation
- Present ethical guidelines to executive leadership and regulatory bodies
- Mentor junior researchers in emerging AI ethics methodologies
Qualifications
- PhD in Ethics, Philosophy, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years applied AI ethics experience
- Proven track record influencing AI governance policies at Fortune 500 or regulatory bodies
- Expertise in regulatory frameworks (EU AI Act, NIST AI RMF) and ethical AI standards (IEEE 7000)
- Strong technical foundation in machine learning, natural language processing, or autonomous systems
- Exceptional communication skills for translating complex concepts to diverse audiences
- Published research in top-tier AI ethics journals or conference proceedings
- Experience with cross-cultural ethical analysis and global AI deployment challenges
