Responsibilities
- Read and interpret complex blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine layout of electrical systems.
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical power, lighting, and communication systems in commercial buildings.
- Ensure all work complies with OSHA safety regulations and the National Electrical Code (NEC).
- Perform troubleshooting and diagnostics to resolve electrical faults efficiently.
- Lead and mentor junior electricians and apprentices on the job site.
- Collaborate with project managers to estimate labor and material costs.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
Qualifications
- Valid New York State Journeyman or Master Electrician License.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial electrical construction or maintenance.
- Strong working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
- Proficiency with electrical testing equipment, hand tools, and power tools.
- Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and blueprints.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Reliable transportation and valid driver's license.
