Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial and industrial facilities
- Interpret blueprints and technical specifications for complex electrical projects
- Ensure compliance with NEC, OSHA, and Chicago municipal electrical codes
- Lead troubleshooting of high-voltage systems and power distribution networks
- Train and mentor junior electricians on safety protocols and best practices
- Coordinate with project managers and contractors to meet tight deadlines
- Conduct system inspections and generate detailed technical reports
Qualifications
- Valid Illinois Journeyman or Master Electrician license (required)
- Minimum 5 years commercial/industrial electrical experience
- Proficiency with PLC systems, VFDs, and motor control circuits
- OSHA 30-hour certification or willingness to obtain
- Strong diagnostic skills for complex electrical systems
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work at heights/ confined spaces
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- Experience with Chicago building permit processes
