Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, apparatus, and control equipment in commercial and industrial settings.
- Perform complex troubleshooting to identify and resolve electrical faults efficiently.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine wiring layouts.
- Ensure strict compliance with local, state, and national electrical codes (NEC).
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure system longevity.
- Lead and mentor junior electricians on job sites.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
Qualifications
- License: Valid Journeyman Electrician License issued by the State of Illinois.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in commercial/residential electrical work.
- Skills: Proficiency in using electrical testing equipment and power tools.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of electrical theory, circuitry, and safety protocols (OSHA).
- Physical: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in various environments (confined spaces, heights).
- Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities and clear communication skills.
