Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance and emergency repairs on all electrical systems, including motors, transformers, and control panels.
- Install, modify, and troubleshoot lighting, power distribution, and low-voltage systems.
- Read and interpret complex blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to execute projects accurately.
- Ensure strict compliance with OSHA safety standards, Cal-OSHA regulations, and the National Electrical Code (NEC).
- Conduct routine inspections to identify potential electrical hazards and recommend corrective actions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate maintenance schedules and minimize downtime.
- Document all work performed, including time logs and parts usage, for accurate reporting.
Qualifications
- Valid Journeyman Electrician License issued by the State of California.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in commercial or industrial electrical maintenance.
- Proven ability to work effectively during night shifts and rotating schedules.
- Strong working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local building codes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail in high-pressure situations.
- Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various environmental conditions.
- Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record.
