Responsibilities
- Architect and execute the 2026 strategic foresight framework, incorporating exponential technologies, socio-economic shifts, and regulatory landscapes
- Lead cross-functional workshops to translate future scenarios into actionable business strategies and innovation pipelines
- Develop quantitative and qualitative models to forecast market disruptions and competitive positioning for 2026 horizon
- Establish strategic partnerships with academic institutions, government bodies, and industry think tanks to shape future ecosystems
- Present compelling vision narratives to executive stakeholders and board members to secure buy-in for transformational initiatives
- Oversee the creation of Horizon Dynamics' annual Future State Report, serving as the definitive industry forecast
- Mentor a team of futurists and innovation analysts to build next-generation strategic capabilities
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Strategic Foresight, Technology Forecasting, or related field (PhD preferred)
- Minimum 8 years of experience in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or future scenario planning
- Proven track record of developing and implementing 5+ year strategic roadmaps for Fortune 500 companies
- Expertise in exponential technologies (AI/ML, quantum computing, biotech, climate tech) and their societal implications
- Exceptional analytical skills with ability to synthesize complex data into actionable strategic insights
- Strong executive presence with experience presenting to C-suite and board-level stakeholders
- Published thought leadership in futures research or innovation strategy (academic journals, industry publications)
- Certification in strategic foresight (e.g., from University of Houston or similar institution) highly desirable
