Responsibilities
- Lead multi-year strategic foresight initiatives mapping technological, social, and economic trends through 2026+
- Develop scenario-based models for emerging domains (quantum computing, bio-integration, climate tech)
- Partner with product teams to translate future insights into innovation roadmaps and R&D priorities
- Author executive briefings and future-state reports for board and investor stakeholders
- Establish Horizon Dynamics' thought leadership via whitepapers, patents, and industry keynotes
- Mentor cross-functional teams in futures-thinking methodologies and trend analysis
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or R&D leadership
- Proven expertise in trend analysis, scenario planning, and futures methodologies
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Engineering, or relevant technical field
- Portfolio demonstrating successful future-strategy implementation (3+ case studies)
- Deep understanding of exponential technologies (AI, biotech, quantum, climate solutions)
- Certification in futures research (e.g., CFrA) or equivalent practical experience
- Exceptional communication skills for translating complex concepts to diverse audiences
