Responsibilities
- Architectural Leadership: Design and oversee the implementation of scalable quantum circuit architectures and error correction protocols.
- System Integration: Bridge the gap between theoretical physics models and practical software engineering, integrating quantum processors with classical control systems.
- Team Mentorship: Guide a team of senior and junior engineers, conducting code reviews and architectural discussions to maintain high standards.
- Performance Optimization: Continuously optimize algorithm performance and resource allocation to maximize qubit coherence and processing speed.
- Roadmap Planning: Define the technical roadmap for Project 2026, anticipating future hardware capabilities and software needs.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product managers and R&D teams to align technical deliverables with business objectives.
Qualifications
- Education: PhD in Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related technical field (or equivalent industry experience).
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in software architecture, with at least 2 years specifically focused on quantum computing or high-performance computing (HPC).
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python, C++, and CUDA; experience with quantum simulators and cloud-based quantum computing platforms (e.g., AWS Braket, Azure Quantum).
- Problem Solving: Exceptional ability to troubleshoot complex system-level issues and optimize for performance and efficiency.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of explaining complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Agile Mindset: Experience working in agile/Scrum environments with a focus on rapid iteration and delivery.
