Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance, distributed systems using modern languages (Node.js, Python, or Java).
- Collaborate with product managers and designers to define the roadmap for our Programmable Cloud APIs.
- Lead code reviews and provide mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence.
- Optimize existing services for latency, throughput, and reliability.
- Participate in on-call rotations to ensure 99.99% uptime for critical infrastructure.
- Drive technical innovation within the team, researching new tools and methodologies.
Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years of professional software development experience with a focus on backend services.
- Core Skills: Strong proficiency in Node.js, Python, or Go.
- API Development: Deep understanding of RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and microservices architecture.
- Infrastructure: Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
- Twilio Expertise: Prior experience or deep knowledge of the Twilio platform, Programmable Voice, SMS, or Video APIs is highly desirable.
- Problem Solving: Ability to debug complex issues in distributed systems and provide robust solutions.
