Responsibilities
- Execute site preparation, excavation, and earthwork operations with precision
- Install and dismantle scaffolding, temporary structures, and safety barriers
- Operate hand/power tools (jackhammers, saws, drills) and heavy equipment under supervision
- Maintain clean, organized workspaces and adhere to OSHA safety protocols
- Assist skilled trades with material handling, concrete pouring, and finishing tasks
- Read blueprints and follow written instructions for complex construction sequences
- Perform daily equipment inspections and report maintenance needs promptly
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of commercial construction experience required
- OSHA 10-hour certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
- Valid California driver's license and clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and work in extreme weather conditions
- Basic blueprint reading and measurement calculation skills
- Experience with power tools and construction-grade equipment
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in diverse teams
- Pre-employment background check and drug screening required
