Responsibilities
- Assist carpenters, masons, and electricians with precise material handling and site preparation
- Operate heavy machinery including forklifts, excavators, and power tools under certified supervision
- Implement strict OSHA safety protocols and maintain organized, hazard-free work zones
- Read and interpret technical blueprints and construction schematics
- Perform concrete pouring, framing, and finishing tasks with attention to detail
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on complex urban construction projects
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and preventive maintenance routines
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years verifiable construction experience in commercial/residential settings
- OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days
- Valid NYC DOB Site Safety Training (SST) card or ability to complete immediately
- Proficiency with power tools (saws, drills, jackhammers) and hand tools
- Ability to lift 75+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks in all weather conditions
- High school diploma or equivalent with basic blueprint reading skills
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to project sites
