Responsibilities
- Execute precise excavation, grading, and foundation preparation tasks
- Operate heavy machinery including excavators, bulldozers, and forklifts
- Install and dismantle scaffolding, temporary structures, and safety barriers
- Mix, pour, and finish concrete with professional-grade techniques
- Read and interpret blueprints to ensure structural accuracy
- Maintain job site cleanliness and adhere to OSHA safety protocols
- Collaborate with skilled tradespeople including carpenters and electricians
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years commercial construction experience
- OSHA 30-hour certification required
- Valid Class A CDL or ability to obtain within 30 days
- Proficient with power tools and heavy equipment operation
- Ability to lift 75+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Strong knowledge of Chicago building codes and regulations
- Excellent problem-solving skills in fast-paced environments
- Reliable transportation and punctual attendance record
