Responsibilities
- Execute site preparation, excavation, and foundation work per blueprints
- Operate heavy machinery (excavators, forklifts) with OSHA certification
- Install formwork, rebar, and concrete structures
- Assemble scaffolding and temporary structures
- Perform demolition, debris removal, and site cleanup
- Read technical drawings and adjust work per engineer specs
- Conduct daily equipment safety inspections
- Collaborate with carpenters, electricians, and welders
Qualifications
- 3+ years commercial construction experience required
- OSHA 30-Hour Construction Certification mandatory
- Valid California driver's license with clean record
- Ability to lift 75 lbs repeatedly and work at heights
- Proficiency with power tools (saws, drills, jackhammers)
- Blueprint reading and material calculation skills
- Trenching/shoring safety certification preferred
- Background check and drug screening required
