Responsibilities
- Execute construction tasks including excavation, concrete pouring, framing, and finishing work
- Operate heavy machinery and hand tools with precision and adherence to safety protocols
- Assist skilled tradespeople (carpenters, electricians, plumbers) with material handling and site preparation
- Maintain clean and organized job sites to ensure efficiency and compliance with OSHA standards
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and project specifications accurately
- Perform daily equipment inspections and report maintenance needs promptly
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of commercial/residential construction experience
- Valid OSHA 10-hour certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and work in physically demanding conditions
- Strong understanding of construction safety regulations and best practices
- Proficiency with power tools (saws, drills, jackhammers) and heavy machinery (excavators, forklifts)
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred
- Reliable transportation and clean driving record
