Responsibilities
- Execute physical labor tasks including excavation, material handling, and equipment operation
- Adhere strictly to OSHA safety protocols and maintain job site cleanliness
- Assist skilled tradespeople (carpenters, masons, electricians) with project execution
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans
- Operate hand/power tools and heavy machinery (excavators, forklifts, etc.)
- Load/unload construction materials and ensure proper inventory management
- Report equipment malfunctions and safety hazards to supervisors
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years construction labor experience preferred
- OSHA 10-hour certification required (training provided if needed)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Valid California driver's license and clean driving record
- Basic blueprint reading and measurement skills
- Strong teamwork ethic and punctuality
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
