Responsibilities
- Prepare construction sites by clearing debris, setting up safety barriers, and organizing materials
- Assist carpenters, masons, and other trades with material handling and tool management
- Operate light machinery (e.g., jackhammers, saws, compactors) following OSHA guidelines
- Read blueprints and interpret instructions from site supervisors
- Maintain clean, organized work areas and adhere to safety protocols
- Assist in concrete pouring, framing, and finishing tasks
- Complete daily equipment inspections and report maintenance needs
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of commercial/residential construction experience
- Valid OSHA 10 certification or willingness to obtain
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in various weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of power tools and construction equipment
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Reliable transportation to job sites across Raleigh metro
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
- Driver's license with clean record preferred
