Responsibilities
- Assist carpenters and skilled trades with site preparation, material handling, and basic construction tasks
- Load/unload construction materials and equipment safely using proper lifting techniques
- Maintain clean and organized job sites by removing debris and waste
- Operate hand/power tools under supervision (hammers, saws, drills, etc.)
- Follow OSHA safety protocols and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Support concrete work, framing, and finishing tasks as directed
- Complete daily task logs and communicate progress to site supervisors
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Basic math skills for material measurements and calculations
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards
- Reliable transportation to job sites within Milwaukee County
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
