Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Assist in preparing construction sites by clearing debris, digging foundations, and setting up temporary structures.
- Material Management: Load, unload, and organize lumber, drywall, tools, and equipment efficiently on the job site.
- Tool Operation: Safely operate power tools (drills, saws) and hand tools under the guidance of supervisors.
- Safety Compliance: Strictly adhere to OSHA safety regulations and company protocols to ensure a safe work environment for everyone.
- Site Maintenance: Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards at the end of each shift.
- Support Trades: Provide general support to carpenters, electricians, and painters as needed during various construction phases.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous construction or general labor experience is preferred; on-the-job training is provided for motivated candidates.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, lift, carry, and bend for extended periods (up to 10 hours a day) in various weather conditions.
- Driver’s License: A valid Texas Driver’s License and reliable transportation are mandatory.
- Reliability: Must be punctual, dependable, and able to work well within a team structure.
- Communication: Ability to follow verbal and written instructions clearly and communicate effectively with team members.
- Education: High school diploma or GED is preferred.
