Responsibilities
- Site Operations: Perform general labor tasks including digging, lifting, hauling, and cleaning job sites to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
- Material Management: Load and unload construction materials, tools, and equipment from trucks and stock them at designated areas.
- Assistance: Assist carpenters, electricians, and other trades with various tasks, such as holding materials, operating power tools, or assisting with framing and drywall.
- Equipment Handling: Operate light construction equipment and machinery, including forklifts, skid steers, and generators, following all operational and safety protocols.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure all work meets project specifications and quality standards set by the foreman and project managers.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to OSHA safety standards and company safety policies at all times, including wearing PPE and reporting hazards immediately.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in general construction labor or a related field.
- Driver's License: Valid Class C California Driver's License with a clean driving record.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to perform physical labor for extended periods, including lifting heavy objects (up to 50+ lbs) and working in various weather conditions.
- Tools: Familiarity with basic hand tools (hammers, saws, levels) and power tools is preferred.
- Communication: Strong ability to follow verbal and written instructions from supervisors and communicate effectively with team members.
- Documentation: Ability to pass a background check, drug screen, and provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
