Responsibilities
- Assist in site preparation, excavation, and material handling using heavy equipment and hand tools
- Operate machinery like forklifts, jackhammers, and concrete mixers safely and efficiently
- Follow blueprints and instructions from site supervisors to execute construction tasks
- Maintain clean, organized workspaces and adhere to OSHA safety protocols
- Collaborate with skilled tradespersons (carpenters, electricians, etc.) on project milestones
- Inspect and maintain tools/equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Participate in building structural frameworks, pouring concrete, and installing fixtures
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on construction labor experience required
- OSHA 10 certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physically demanding tasks in all weather conditions
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- Basic knowledge of construction materials, tools, and safety procedures
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Must pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
- Ability to work flexible hours including overtime and weekends
