Responsibilities
- Execute construction tasks including excavation, concrete pouring, framing, and finishing with precision
- Operate heavy machinery (excavators, bulldozers, forklifts) and hand tools safely and efficiently
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and project specifications
- Maintain clean and organized job sites following OSHA safety protocols
- Collaborate with carpenters, electricians, and other trades professionals
- Inspect materials for quality compliance and report deficiencies
- Complete daily progress reports and maintain project documentation
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of commercial/residential construction experience
- Valid OSHA 30-hour certification or willingness to obtain immediately
- Ability to operate heavy equipment (CDL Class B preferred)
- Physical stamina to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Knowledge of Virginia building codes and safety regulations
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
