Responsibilities
- Execute complex construction tasks including excavation, concrete pouring, and structural framing
- Operate heavy machinery (excavators, forklifts) and hand tools with precision
- Interpret blueprints and technical specifications for project implementation
- Enforce strict safety protocols and maintain OSHA compliance standards
- Coordinate with skilled trades (carpenters, electricians, plumbers) for seamless workflow
- Manage material inventory and quality control on active job sites
- Perform site preparation and cleanup to meet environmental regulations
Qualifications
- 3+ years commercial construction experience with verifiable references
- OSHA 30-hour certification and valid NYC Construction Site Safety Training card
- Proficiency with power tools and heavy machinery operation
- Ability to lift 75+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Strong understanding of NYC building codes and permit requirements
- Clean driving record and ability to commute to multiple boroughs
- Emergency response training (CPR/First Aid) preferred
- Willingness to work nights/weekends on critical path projects
