Responsibilities
- Execute diverse construction tasks including excavation, concrete pouring, and structural assembly
- Operate heavy machinery (backhoes, excavators) with precision and safety protocols
- Interpret blueprints and technical schematics for project execution
- Maintain job site cleanliness and enforce OSHA safety standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (carpenters, electricians, engineers)
- Perform material handling and inventory management duties
- Document daily progress and report operational issues
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on construction labor experience
- Valid OSHA 30-hour certification required
- Proficient in operating heavy machinery (CDL preferred)
- Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings
- Strong physical stamina and ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly
- Flexibility to work extended hours in all weather conditions
- Basic math skills for measurements and material calculations
- New York City construction certification preferred
