Responsibilities
- Execute excavation, demolition, and site preparation tasks following OSHA standards
- Operate heavy machinery including excavators, forklifts, and power tools with precision
- Load/unload construction materials and maintain organized job sites
- Assist carpenters, masons, and other trades with layout and installation work
- Inspect equipment and report maintenance needs to supervisors
- Adhere to safety protocols and participate in daily toolbox meetings
- Complete daily progress reports and time tracking documentation
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of commercial/residential construction experience
- Valid OSHA 10/30 certification or willingness to obtain immediately
- Class B CDL license with clean driving record (preferred)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and basic survey equipment
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Must pass background check and drug screening
- Willingness to travel between Chicago and Georgia project sites
