We are seeking a visionary Strategic Future Tech Planner to lead our long-term visioning initiatives. In this pivotal role, you will define the roadmap for the year 2026 and beyond, identifying emerging technologies that will shape the future of our industry. You will act as a bridge between our engineering teams and executive leadership, ensuring our strategic direction is both innovative and actionable.
As a thought leader in our organization, you will not just predict the future; you will architect it. You will be responsible for scenario planning, risk assessment regarding disruptive technologies, and the development of a robust technology strategy that positions Nexus Horizon Labs as a market leader by 2026.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the 2026 Technology Roadmap, aligning technical capabilities with business objectives and market trends.
- Conduct deep-dive research into emerging technologies, including Artificial Intelligence, Quantum Computing, and SpaceTech, to identify high-impact opportunities.
- Lead cross-functional workshops with engineering, product, and design teams to translate futuristic concepts into actionable development milestones.
- Monitor global tech landscapes to identify potential disruptions and competitive threats, providing timely strategic recommendations to the C-Suite.
- Establish metrics and KPIs to measure the success of strategic initiatives and track progress toward the 2026 vision.
- Collaborate with external partners, think tanks, and academic institutions to stay at the forefront of innovation.
- Communicate complex strategic concepts to diverse stakeholders in a clear, compelling, and persuasive manner.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree or PhD is preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in strategic planning, technology consulting, or a senior leadership role within the tech industry.
- Proven track record of forecasting industry trends and successfully implementing long-term strategic roadmaps.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex data into clear strategic insights.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence senior leadership.
- Experience with scenario planning and futurism methodologies.
- Deep understanding of current and emerging tech stacks (AI, Blockchain, IoT, Edge Computing).
