Responsibilities
- Prepare construction sites through debris removal, equipment setup, and safety perimeter establishment
- Load/unload materials and operate heavy machinery including forklifts and excavators
- Assist carpenters, masons, and electricians with tool handling and material transport
- Execute precise concrete work including pouring, finishing, and form installation
- Adhere to OSHA standards and maintain organized job site cleanliness
- Read blueprints and follow project specifications with meticulous attention to detail
- Document daily progress and report equipment malfunctions to supervisors
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year construction/labor experience or relevant technical certification
- OSHA 10-hour certification (or willingness to obtain immediately)
- Ability to lift 75+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks in extreme weather
- Valid Louisiana driver's license with clean driving record
- Proficiency with hand/power tools (saws, drills, jackhammers)
- Basic blueprint reading and measurement calculation skills
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
- Must be available for 12-hour shifts and weekend work
