Responsibilities
- Execute foundational site preparation including excavation, grading, and material handling
- Operate heavy machinery (excavators, bulldozers) with precision and safety compliance
- Assist carpenters and masons with material installation and structural assembly
- Implement OSHA safety protocols and maintain clean, organized work zones
- Read blueprints and technical schematics for accurate project execution
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet tight construction deadlines
- Perform preventative equipment maintenance and basic troubleshooting
Qualifications
- 3+ years of commercial/residential construction experience
- OSHA 30-Hour certification required
- Valid California driver's license and clean driving record
- Proficiency with hand/power tools and heavy machinery operation
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in physically demanding conditions
- Strong spatial awareness and blueprint interpretation skills
- Flexibility to work extended hours and weekends on critical projects
