Responsibilities
- Execute site preparation, excavation, and earth-moving operations using heavy machinery
- Assist carpenters, masons, and tradespeople with material handling and task support
- Operate power tools (saws, drills, jackhammers) and construction equipment safely
- Maintain clean, organized job sites and comply with OSHA safety protocols
- Read blueprints and follow precise construction specifications
- Perform concrete pouring, finishing, and curing tasks
- Transport materials and debris using forklifts or dump trucks
- Complete daily progress reports and equipment maintenance logs
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year construction or labor experience preferred
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- OSHA 10-hour certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Basic math skills for material measurement and inventory
- Reliable transportation to job sites across North Carolina
- Willingness to work flexible shifts including weekends
- Pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
