Responsibilities
- Execute site preparation, excavation, and foundation work following blueprints and safety protocols
- Operate construction machinery including forklifts, excavators, and power tools with precision
- Load/unload materials and maintain organized, hazard-free job sites
- Assist carpenters, masons, and other trades with material handling and task completion
- Adhere to OSHA standards and conduct daily equipment inspections
- Participate in project cleanup and waste management procedures
- Complete daily progress reports and maintain accurate material logs
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of commercial construction experience or trade school certification
- Valid OSHA 30-hour certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and perform physically demanding tasks
- Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) preferred
- Proficient in operating power tools and heavy machinery
- Strong understanding of construction safety standards and regulations
- Ability to read and interpret basic construction blueprints
- Reliable transportation and consistent punctuality required
