Responsibilities
- Load, unload, and transport construction materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, or hand trucks.
- Assist skilled tradespeople (carpenters, electricians, and plumbers) with various tasks on-site.
- Prepare construction sites by clearing debris, digging trenches, and setting forms.
- Operate heavy machinery and equipment, including skid steers and compactors, under strict supervision.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in full compliance with OSHA regulations.
- Perform basic measurements and calculations for project accuracy.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED is preferred.
- Physically fit and able to lift 50+ lbs repeatedly without strain.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions, including rain, heat, and cold.
- Willingness to learn and follow strict safety guidelines.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record (often required for site transport).
- Basic math skills for measuring and estimating materials.
- Team-oriented mindset with strong communication skills.
