Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Assist in preparing construction sites by clearing debris, digging trenches, and leveling the ground.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and distribute building materials, tools, and equipment to and from the job site efficiently.
- Basic Construction Tasks: Perform general labor tasks including mixing concrete, assisting with framing, drywall installation, and general cleanup.
- Equipment Operation: Operate power tools and heavy machinery (e.g., forklifts, jackhammers) safely under supervision.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and site-specific safety protocols at all times.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with foremen and skilled tradespeople to ensure projects are completed on schedule.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, and lift heavy objects (50+ lbs) for extended periods.
- Availability: Must be available for full-time work, including weekends or overtime as needed.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to follow instructions clearly.
- Tools: Basic knowledge of hand and power tools is a plus but not mandatory.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to the job site.
- Reliability: Punctual and dependable with a strong work ethic.
