Responsibilities
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from job sites efficiently.
- Site Preparation: Assist in preparing construction sites by digging trenches, clearing debris, and leveling ground.
- Tool Operation: Operate and handle various power tools and heavy machinery under supervision.
- Support Trades: Provide assistance to skilled tradespeople such as carpenters, electricians, and masons.
- Site Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with OSHA regulations.
- Measurement: Measure, cut, and fit building materials, including wood, plastic, and metal.
Qualifications
- Physical Fitness: Ability to perform heavy physical labor, including lifting 50+ lbs repeatedly, standing for long periods, and working in various weather conditions.
- Experience: Previous experience in construction, landscaping, or general labor is preferred but not always required.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to the job site.
- Safety Awareness: Strong understanding of basic construction safety protocols and the ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of construction professionals.
- Communication: Basic verbal communication skills to understand and follow instructions.
