Responsibilities
- Assist Journeyman Electricians: Learn to install, maintain, and repair residential and commercial electrical systems under professional supervision.
- Tool Management: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area; organize tools and materials for daily tasks.
- Reading Blueprints: Interpret basic electrical schematics and blueprints to understand project requirements.
- Testing & Troubleshooting: Assist in diagnosing electrical faults and performing basic circuit testing using multimeters.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to OSHA safety standards and company protocols at all times.
- Site Preparation: Help prepare job sites, including setting up temporary power and ensuring proper equipment storage.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED is preferred; vocational training in electrical basics is a plus.
- Driver’s License: Valid driver’s license and clean driving record are required for site travel.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in various weather conditions.
- Basic Math Skills: Comfort with basic arithmetic and measurements.
- Soft Skills: Strong work ethic, reliability, and the ability to follow instructions closely.
